Thymoma is a cancer that affects the thymus, located in the central part of the chest, just behind the breastbone, especially patients aged between 40 and 60 years. It is understood within the lymphatic system, which produces lymphocytes, responsible for eradicating the virus and stimulates the production of antibodies to fight bacteria. These tumors arise from the epithelial cells lining the organ and rarely infect adjacent tissue areas.
