Obesity is a disorder of the weight of a person is above what is considered healthy based on their height. Today, childhood obesity is a problem that affects a large number of developed countries where the number of children and adolescents who are overweight is rising alarmingly. Obese children may have serious health problems in adulthood, and heart disease, diabetes, asthma, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, etc. In addition to the physical consequences, childhood obesity can also involve psychological problems such as low self-esteem, depression or feelings of inferiority, which prevent the child to interact with others and limit their social relationships.
