Photorejuvenation with intense pulsed light (IPL) is a technology that uses intense pulsed light to reverse the aging process of the skin, providing brightness and smoothness by stimulating the production of collagen, closing the pores and reduce stains. Through the direct application of pulsed light on the treatment area, the heat emitted destroys the lesions without damaging surrounding tissue. This treatment is painless, but the use of methods of cooling the skin in the treated area is recommended to previously protect the application of pulsed light or laser. Depending on the patient, their skin type and the target to achieve, each session is customized graduating the intensity of the light pulses. Normally, it takes four to six treatment sessions, spaced a minimum of three weeks, and the effects are evident from the first session held.
