Dental brackets is a type of orthodontic help correct positioning of the teeth. They can be single or multiple pieces. In the first case it is rigid and is generally manufactured through injection by mold. Thanks to the latest advances brackets are different types: metal (traditional), self-ligating, transparent (ceramic) or gold. Metal are formed of high-grade stainless steel and are accompanied by metal arches and elastic that help to lower or bonding of teeth. The only difference offered by self-ligating is not accurate elastics, allowing less friction on the tooth and fewer visits to the specialist; but a clip that helps the metal arc guide the teeth into position is used. Ceramic although more aesthetic, but require more attention to hygiene standards, as they are more fragile than metal brackets. Finally, the brackets are also gold stainless steel, but are coated with gold.
